Horizon'25 is an exciting and challenging National Level AI Hackathon that encourages innovative problem-solving through the use of Artificial Intelligence. The event focuses on creating impactful AI solutions that tackle real-world problems across diverse sectors, including healthcare, social good, customer experience, and disaster management.

The hackathon is designed to push the boundaries of AI technology, encouraging participants to think creatively and apply AI in ways that solve complex societal issues. The event also emphasizes the integration of Generative AI to foster innovation and expand the potential of artificial intelligence in various fields.

AI-Powered Disaster Prediction & Response

Traditional disaster monitoring relies on delayed reports and static risk models, making real-time decision-making difficult. Create an AI system to improve disaster response.

Landslide Prediction & Hazard Mitigation with AI

Develop an AI-powered system that uses geospatial data, weather forecasts, and real-time monitoring to predict landslides and mitigate potential hazards.

Rules and Regulations

Eligibility

The hackathon is open to individuals or teams who are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at a recognized university or college.
Teams must consist of 3-5 members, including the Team Lead.
The Team Lead should be a designated participant responsible for the team's overall progress and coordination.
Each participant may only be part of one team.

Registration Details

Round 1: Free for all participants.
Rounds 2 and 3: Participants selected from Round 1 are required to pay a registration fee of Rs.600 per head, respective to their team size (Minimum – 3, Maximum - 4).

Judging Criteria

Originality of Code: Unique and innovative solutions.
Use of AI Tools: Effective implementation of AI technologies.
Product Pitch: Clear, concise, and persuasive presentation.
Innovation: Creative and original approach or solution.
Feasibility: Practical and achievable in a real-world scenario.
Technical Excellence: Quality implementation, architecture, and technical challenges addressed.
Impact & Relevance: Solutions to real-world problems and impact on society or industries.
Presentation & Demo: Clear communication and explanation of how Generative AI is used.

General Rules

Maintain professionalism and respect towards other participants and mentors.
Follow ethical guidelines and avoid plagiarism.
Ensure the prototype is compatible with the required platforms and environments.
Adhere to the deadlines for each round.
All official communications will be through the team member's registered email id.

Hackathon Timeline

Round 1: Project Idea Submission

Deadline: March 8th, 2025

Submit a detailed project idea document including problem statement, proposed solution, technology stack, and expected outcomes.

Round 2: Prototype and PPT Submission

Deadline: March 20th, 2025

Submit a working prototype link and presentation explaining the development process, key features, technical challenges, and future improvements.

Round 3: Final Prototype Testing (In-Person)

Date: April 3rd and 4th, 2025

Present the final prototype to judges and make adjustments based on mentor feedback within a 24-hour time frame.
